High-Quality Expansion Bolt

Short Description:

Expansion bolts are fasteners that achieve fixation through friction generated by the expansion of an expansion tube. The core principle is that after the bolt is inserted into a substrate such as concrete or a wall, tightening the nut causes the screw to pull the expansion tube open, forming a tight engagement with the substrate, thus bearing tensile, shear, or combined loads. They are widely used in building decoration, equipment installation, and outdoor facility fixing.

Key Parameters and Materials/Processes

Mainstream Specifications and Standards
Specification Range:

Metal Expansion Bolts: Thread size M6-M24, length 60mm-200mm (commonly M8×80, M10×100, M12×120), expansion tube diameter 2-4mm larger than the screw;
Plastic Expansion Bolts: Size M4-M12, length 30mm-100mm, suitable for light-duty fixing needs;

Chemical Anchors: Size M8-M30, length 100mm-300mm, extra-long sizes can be customized according to load-bearing requirements.

Implementation Standards: Domestically, GB/T 22795-2008 "Expansion Anchors for Concrete" and GB/T 16938-2016 "Fasteners - Bolts, Screws and Studs" are followed; chemical anchors must comply with the relevant requirements of GB 50367-2013 "Code for Design of Strengthening Concrete Structures".

Materials and Anti-corrosion Processes:
Common Materials:

Screws: Q235 carbon steel (grade 4.8) is used for general applications; 45# steel or alloy steel (grade 8.8) is used for high-strength applications; 304/316 stainless steel is used for corrosion-resistant applications;

Expansion Tubes: Galvanized steel sheet or seamless steel pipe for metal applications; PP (polypropylene), PE (polyethylene), or nylon 66 for plastic applications;
Chemical Agents: Epoxy resin, vinyl ester resin, etc., possessing high and low temperature resistance, aging resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance.

Corrosion protection: Metal parts: Electro-galvanizing, blackening, and phosphating are used for standard applications; hot-dip galvanizing (zinc layer thickness ≥50μm) or stainless steel is used for outdoor/humid environments; Plastic parts: UV resistant and anti-aging agents are added to extend outdoor service life.
